| Quilling is the art of rolling strips of paper around a needle-like instrument. The rolls are then shaped, turned on edge, and arranged into various shapes and designs. It is commonly believed that feather quills were once used to roll the papers, thus the name, Quilling. The art has it origins in European religious orders where cloistered nuns and monks created quilled religious art.
I personally handcraft each quilled ornament with high quality, acid-free paper, and each is coated with a protective acrylic spray. A transparent hanger is attached so focus is on the ornament, not the hanger. While the ornaments look very delicate and fragile, they are amazingly tough and with minimal care, they'll last a lifetime. They, of course, serve as perfect ornaments for your tree, but are also excellent package tie-ons, dinner table favors, window decorations, and make a unique and cherished gift.
